Together with Justin Lanier, I filmed a stop-motion short called “Yoshimoto Friends” to playfully animate the Yoshimoto cube’s most wonderful features.

The trouble with paper models of the Yoshimoto cube is that over time, the tape hinges wear and eventually tear. So, I set out to create a new, one-piece model for the Yoshimoto cube with paper hinges built in. The new design stars in my second short, “Yoshimoto Bug.”
